Zeke Ramone: It's been a long time since we have heard any news about upcoming episodes or the much anticipated second movie. What updates can you release to us?
Kristi: Well, I have some pretty exciting news actually. As of last night, Cassie and I have finished the first part to the second FRVS movie. And with that comes a title and an air date for the movie, and a tentative air date for our final season.
The second movie will be titled "Save The Future", and will be in three parts airing over the course of three weeks, starting July 17, 2009.
ZR: That is exciting! What can you tell us - if anything - about the second movie?
K: Well, obviously I can't leak everything out. I'd have to be killed. *laughs* But what I can tell you, so far, the movie is dealing with time. It's going to be the "missing link" between the season 9 finale and season 10, our final season. I happen to love it. We brought back a little bit of humor that was missing last season, which was really fun. There are a couple of new characters, and a lot of characters that are, well... no longer with us - yet.
For those who are really interested in spoilers, there's this person on the FRVS Forum who has my apartment bugged and can by-pass my CSM-25 countermeasure filter and has been posting spoilers about the movie. I've tried to contain them, but they seem to be really good at this. So check those out if you want to know a little more about what is going on.
ZR: Are there any truths to the spoilers?
K: I can neither confirm, nor deny. *sly smile*
ZR: So the movie is a missing link between last season and the next season, can you give any more details on that?
K: Well, season 10 is going to be very different from the formula we were following in season 9. Last season we had our cast separated, a lot of angst, a lot of character flashbacks and what not. From what we've discussed so far, season 10 will have our lovely cast reunited. They're still at war, but it's different now.
ZR: You mentioned a tentative air date for the final season...
K: September 5, 2009. Exactly 10 years to the date that we started to write "The Adventure of Fox & Alex", which is what grew into what FRVS is today. It'll be on a Saturday schedule rather than our usual Mondays. Be sure to mark your calenders.
ZR: Is there anything you would like to say to your readers before I let you get back to work?
K: I'd like to thank all of you for sticking with us. It's been a very rough year for us, and finally we're able to settle down and get FRVS under way again. I've missed all of you and the series. It feels so good to be back, and I'd love to see some of our readers over at the FRVS Forum. We've got general discussions, spoilers, and the fun times of Goofy Spooky!
"Save The Future" airs: 17 July 2009
Season 10 airs: 5 September 2009
